Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, with her family by her side, on Sunday September 23, 2018 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Frank Mattalo Sr.. Betty will be remembered by her children Christine Praysner and Frank Jr. (Gindia). Nanny of Patrick and Melissa Praysner and Christopher Mattalo. Daughter of the late Bartholomew and Stella Verdoni. Sister of the late Marie Burt (late William), late Margaret (late George), Patricia Wilson (Don) and Reta Albanese (late Jim). Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at O'Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James Street) on Thursday September 27, 2018 from 11:30am until the time of service in the chapel at 1:00pm with Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre to follow. The family would like to thank Dr. Reich, Dr. O’Brien, Dr. Ghosh, the ICU nurses and all the staff of the Sault Area Hospital for the care given to Betty.
