Obituary for Bud John Mangotich

Bud J Mangotich (Buddy)-
Sadly we announce that Buddy Mangotich, a life long fighter has gone down for the count. After 96 years the bell rang for his last round. The fight was stopped as he peacefully passed on July 17, 2018. Bud was born in 1922 in Croatia and immigrated to Canada as a child with his family. With a few exceptions to play pro hockey, Bud lived his entire life in his beloved hometown of Schumacher, Ontario. Bud was predeceased by his dedicated wife of 70 years, Betty (Vrbanac) in 2015. Bud is survived by brother Lenky (Joan) and predeceased by brother Coco (Marie) Mangotich. Over his long career, Grampy Bud gained the pride and admiration of his loving family, including:
. Daughter Bettyanne (Willy) Plaskett,
Grandsons Paul (Sarah) Plaskett and great grandkids Carter and Avery
Jason (Melissa) Plaskett and great grandkids Sadie and Jake
. Son Larry (Liz) Mangotich
Grandsons Tyson, Curtis and Lucas Mangotich
. Son Rick (Lauren) Mangotich
Grandchildren Alex, Hayley and Jamie Mangotich

As per his wishes, Bud’s final resting place will be in his home of Schumacher (Timmins) ON, Tisdale Cemetery, which will be arranged for a later date.
