Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Sault Area Hospital on July 25, 2018. Lovingly remembered by his wife Mary (Luciani) of 63 years and his children Terry DuBois (Cathie), Lori DuBois (Danny), Gary DuBois (Pam), Karen Poirier (Mike) and Patti DuBois-Pallot (Jim). Proud Papa of Matthew, Erik, Patrick, Sarah, Evan, Jesse, Amanda, Madison and Ashlyn. Son of the late Francis and Emeline DuBois of Blind River and brother of Grace Phillips of London, Ontario. Son in Law of the late Ricardo and Rose Luciani. Bother in law of the late Tony Luciani (Irma), Bert Luciani (Lena), Laura Salvini (late Joe), late Adeline Litalien (late Gene) (late Laurent) and Richard Luciani (Irene). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Known to many as “Hector”
He shared his love of the outdoors with his family whether it was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, berry picking, camping and more. He will be truly missed. The family would like to thank USW Local 2251, Steve Johnson, Dr. Landry, Dr. Ghosh, Dr. Fritz, Dr. Berg, the ICU nursing staff and the respiratory techs for their professionalism and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Lung Association, Sault Area Hospital or Sault Search and Rescue. Respecting his wishes a private family service will be held.
